Varjack Paw is a cat. One day, when his owner dies, a mysterious gentleman enters the house. As he talks and listens to his grandfather, Varjack is warned that to save his family from their fate he must leave his home and bring back the peculiar animal called 'a dog' that would help them. In his dreams he is taught the way - a secret martial art for cats - as he fights to survive in a city full of dangerous gangs and mysterious vanishings!

‘It is funny to read a book about animals against humans. It makes me think of the '101 Dalmatians'! This is an excellent read: not too hard, not too easy!’
