NOVEMBER BOOK OF THE MONTH

Anne of Green Gables

L.M. Montgomery 4.3/5.0

Anne Shirley has been an orphan for nearly all her life. She has been living in an orphanage until word comes that she is to be sent to live with a family in Prince Edward Island. But, little does she know that Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert had asked for a boy to help out on the farm as they get older. When she arrives all her hope is crushed at their disappointed faces. However, Marilla and Matthew empathise with her, letting her stay for a couple of days. Surprisingly enough, both Marilla and Matthew grow fond of Anne due to her personality traits of determination and her never-ending imagination. Anne makes friends and bonds of a lifetime through her time on Prince Edward Island.

“This book isn’t something I would normally read and it was hard to get into but I ended the book with a huge smile on my face and deep connection to the characters.”
